Hello! We are Lisa (33) and Aaron (36) and thank you for visiting our personal Website. Aaron and I are not working with an agency; this is our personal adoption Website. We have always wanted to have a family and through the miracle of adoption, our dreams can now come true. Update (We now have one daughter who we adopted in Jan 2009. )
We are located in Delray Beach, Florida, originally from NJ, been together for 11 years and married for 7 years. After 7 years of trying to start a family naturally and with the help of infertility treatments, we have not been successful. We are working with a lawyer in Florida. We always considered adoption to start a family and now we are excited to be going through this journey and welcome you to our Adoption Website. Let the journey begin…
Our Background
Aaron works in the IT field and has been working in the IT (Information Technology aka Computers) field for 15 years. My husband worked in NYC for many years before we moved to Arizona. He is an awesome guy! Loving, caring, successful and has always desired to be a father. I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching and my own marketing business which allows me to work from home. Also, I have over 10 years of teaching experience and teach college English online for multiple schools. The business was built to be flexible so we both could be home to raise a child.
Both of us come from strong family ties, with a loving and supportive environment. We have 3 nieces and 2 nephews and have years of experience with providing for children as we will do the same for your child. I was born to be a mother and my husband and I want to give a child all the love and opportunities available to them the world has to offer.
Our Home Life
We live in Delray Beach, Florida and live a healthy and organic lifestyle. Spending time as a family is important to us as well as being healthy and happy. My husband and I support a green environment and purchase foods from locally grown stores aka Farmers Markets, etc. We have attempted to even grow a garden which a surprise to us, is working! Woohoo, fresh veggies! But we also love to go out for ice cream and frozen yogurt as well as watch sporting events. (Lisa’s a Yankees fan - Go Yankees! Aaron’s a Mets fan; we all can’t be perfect!)
We share our home with two female dogs, Marley the Boxer and Olive the Boston Terrier. They LOVE children, love us and are wonderful companions. We exercise (rollerblade, baseball, hike, run), read, write and love to travel and can’t wait to share these hobbies with a child.
Hobbies and Interests
Aaron and I enjoy spending time together whether it’s playing sports, going for hikes, going to sporting events, walking the dogs, traveling, going to museums; and we want to share these experiences with a child. Aaron grew up listening to classical music and going to museums as I was a “dancing ball player,” and enjoyed the theater, singing and performing from the opportunities my family could give us. With a very active lifestyle as children, it has given both of us opportunities throughout our lives. My husband and I both grew up by NYC and culture was a big part of our lives and we will give the same opportunities to your child that our parents gave to us.
What We Offer to a Child
Aaron and I offer a loving, supportive, stable and caring environment to a child with a wonderful extended family. We respect your decision and courage you are showing for your baby and we are very open to any race, gender and sibling adoption. We are open to open adoption and this would be a discussion between the birthmom and ourselves. All children deserve to be loved and in a stable, loving and secure home.
